The Evening Star

950.00

This print is a landscape, part of a series of “mountains” originally designed as a series of 10 to be placed in a sequence in a medical surgery unit in Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh with the idea of aiding staff, patients, and parents in reflecting on which ‘mountain’ they were climbing on any given day. This would lead to expanded conversation to aid in the healing/understanding process. Here, the beautiful chaos of nature is reassured by the rational form of a white star.

Made with 32 hand made color plates. Each print is 32” x40” printed on a 36” x 45” sheet of 320g Coventry Rag paper with inks handmade by the printmaker Michael Raburn using Quality Inks of Phoenix, Arizona. All prints are hand pulled and organized in editions of 80 signed and numbered prints.
